Her history is unknown; however, Noelle does have somefear issues. She has made significant progress in her foster home and is showing more of her fun and loving personality every day!When Noelle first arrived, she ran and hid under the sofa. It took several days and a calm environment for her to feel safe to come out on her own. Noelle now enjoys spending time on the sofa, roaming around the house, and going out in the yard. Noelle will retreat to her safe spot under the sofa if she gets startled by a new noise or person. She is also very untrusting of teen boys. Noelle waits and watches intensely before coming out again.Noelle is potty trained but has an occasional accident if something outside spooks her. She loves to go on walks and is happy walking with the other resident dogs. She will potty on a leash but is cautious and on alert throughout. She can be reactive if something startles her like trucks, closing doors, bikes, etc., and will try to run and hide.Once Noelle gains trust she shows her true, wonderful self. She is a playful, happy, goofy, and loving girl. She likes stuffed squeaky toys, chew toys, wrestling and running around with her 8-year-old canine brother, and playing tug. She loves being with her people, playing chase, cuddling, and is a very loyal companion.Noelle will need another dog to help continue to build her confidence, a fenced yard, a quiet residential or a rural area, and a safe place to hide when needed (not a crate). Her primary caregiver should be a female and she would do best in a home where she can sleep in the owner's bed where she feels safest.With the right home, Noelle will continue to thrive and blossom!NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).If you have any questions or would like to adopt NOELLE, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
