Meet Penny, a 2 year old, 13lb female chihuahua/dachshund mix looking for her forever home! Penny was a street dog who wound up pregnant & ended up in rescue. It took her puppies getting adopted for Penny to finally try figuring out how to dog. She can be a little slow to warm up to other dogs, but becomes their best friend once they are comfortable with one another. Penny has finally learned how to play with other dogs, & she has even started playing with toys! Because Penny is still very nervous on a leash, a fenced in yard is required for her new home. She would probably do best in a home with at least one other dog. Penny thoroughly enjoys being in a pack as she is a bit awkward with people. She is very, very shy around people, but time has really made her warm up. Once she’s less shy, Penny loves to give kisses & cuddle at night. Lastly, this silly girl has done very well with my 4 year old daughter.
